Many organizations have rushed into AI without a clear strategy, burning budgets on tools that don't deliver ROI.
At the same time, AI has now moved from experimentation to execution, requiring CIOs to translate these growing AI investments into tangible business outcomes. A new path to discipline must be paved to avoid underperforming investments:
- Define business value first: what problem are you solving with AI and automation?
- Select technology that serves only that value and not the other way around
- Ensure data quality and AI governance, setting a foundation of trust
- Align organization and skills: this comes with AI literacy
Are your AI investments delivering real and measurable value or is it just hype?
